This truly was one of the best weeks of the year so far! I felt spoiled everyday! This morning we had a Writer’s Workshop Sharing Day! The kids were able to share any story from their notebooks to gather compliments and suggestions from their friends. We will continue this on Monday because it was so great! After math today, we had Engage, Warren’s Star of the Week, Reading, and a class cleaning session to prepare for this weekend’s open house. It looks great in here!!!

It is so important that your child complete his/her reading homework each night! It is the number one way for your child to improve! Please have your child take some time to read out loud to you. They also love hearing you read and you are a great model for them!
3rd Grade Reading: 20 minutes
4th Grade Reading: 30 minutes

3rd Grade Math: HL 4.6 Study facts 3-4 for 10 minutes any way you like!

4th Grade Math: All of this math homework is due Tuesday! JP 100-103 SL 4.9 (#1 on the study link is optional). We have four online tests due Tuesday as well. The codes are IGNS5265, IDET6566, TLNS4197, and QRZE2075.

Language Arts: Today we received our next paragraph practice and the kids are pretty excited about the topic! This paragraph practice is due on Tuesday, January 3rd!

Cursive: We are working hard in class!

Spelling: Our next spelling lists are due on Thursday, December 15th. We will have our spelling test that day as well! We will not receive another spelling list after this test until we get back from break!

Social Studies: Right now our focus is on the world, continent, country, state, and city communities we belong to. Soon we will move our focus to more map skills and the study of our great state of Michigan!

Spanish: Please find your teacher’s link on this blog and check for your assignments!

PLEASE ENCOURAGE YOUR CHILD TO USE THE YELLOW CHECKLIST IN HIS/HER BINDER!

PLEASE SEND YOUR CHILD WITH A WATER BOTTLE!!! This helps a lot, so he/she does not have to leave the room when thirsty! Your child is also welcome to keep healthy snacks in our classroom to eat any time!
