It was another fabulous day in our classroom today! This morning we had the best time reading our novel. Right now we are learning how to create good discussion questions in a book club and the kids are doing the best job of it! After math we had Spanish, Swimming, Science, and time for a project with Mrs. Truesdell! Tuesdays always seem to be a lot of fun!

We are in need of one more chaperone for Friday’s field trip! Please let me know if you can attend! We would appreciate your help!

It is so important that your child complete his/her reading homework each night! It is the number one way for your child to improve! Please have your child take some time to read out loud to you. They also love hearing you read and you are a great model for them!

3rd Grade Math: Online Quiz "Decimal Identification" due Wednesday

Study 5 multiplication facts for 10 minutes
Take online 5 multiplication quiz by Thursday!

4th Grade Math: If you did not get your pop quiz signed last night, please do so tonight! We have a Multi-Digit Multiplication Homework packet due tomorrow that the kids need to complete using the traditional multiplication method. We also have JP 132-133 and SL 5.10 due tomorrow. On JP 132, the kids only need to complete #1. We have 30 minutes of IXL due by Thursday. I want you to focus on the multiplication skills (D1-D18) during that half hour. If you finish all of them, you can move on to any skills you choose! Our Unit 5 test will be on Wednesday the 18th!

Language Arts: Ask your child what is happening in our novel, “Sign of the Beaver,” so far! It is a fantastic book! We only have 6 short chapters left!

Cursive: We are working hard in class!

Spelling: Online assignments need to be completed by Friday, January 20th and the test will be that day as well!

Social Studies: We took our Chapter 2 Social Studies quiz yesterday. Please have your child take you on Moodle to show you! It is broken up into two parts called “TCI Communities Chapter 2 Vocab Quiz,” and “TCI Communities Chapter 2 Assessment.” We will have a quick quiz on Chapter 3 on Thursday. Your child is brought home a review to help him/her study for that quiz!

Spanish: Please find your teacher’s link on this blog and check for your assignments!

PLEASE ENCOURAGE YOUR CHILD TO USE THE YELLOW CHECKLIST IN HIS/HER BINDER!

PLEASE SEND YOUR CHILD WITH A WATER BOTTLE!!! This helps a lot, so he/she does not have to leave the room when thirsty! Your child is also welcome to keep healthy snacks in our classroom to eat any time!
