It was so nice to be back in the classroom with your kids’ smiling faces today!!! They had the best stories to tell me about their breaks! I am glad everyone enjoyed their much deserved time off! Today we had a fabulous day in class! This morning we reviewed for a Social Studies quiz that we will have next week. We also started our next unit on Geography. After math today, the kids had Eng. Tech, time with our novel, Engage, and a little more time for Social Studies!

We have two permission slips coming home today. One is for the Detroit Historical Museum and one is for the Nature Center. The Nature Center does not require payment, just your permission! Please send in asap!!!

WE HAVE OUR THIRD QUARTER CHOICE HOUR FORMS WHICH ARE DUE BY MONDAY, BUT WE WANT TO WIN THE CONTEST SO WE MADE THEM DUE FRIDAY!!!!

Before break, your child received instructions on how to cut the bottles for our science unit. Please make sure you send these in by Thursday or Friday as we will start the unit on Monday!

It is so important that your child complete his/her reading homework each night! It is the number one way for your child to improve! Please have your child take some time to read out loud to you. They also love hearing you read and you are a great model for them!

4th Grade Math: JP 121-123 SL 5.6, please take time to review SL 5.2 for at least 5 minutes! We have online tests due Monday and the codes are QCYT8258, ISOY9281, VWOM4917, and XYVX0220.

Language Arts: Our “Thanksgiving” paragraph practice was due yesterday! Ask your child what has happened in our novel, “Sign of the Beaver,” so far! It is a fantastic book!

Cursive: We are working hard in class!

Spelling: We will get a new spelling list on Friday!

Social Studies: Your child has a review sheet for our Unit 2 Social Studies quiz that will take place on Monday. Please sign it and have your child bring it back on Monday when we take the quiz!

Spanish: Please find your teacher’s link on this blog and check for your assignments!

PLEASE ENCOURAGE YOUR CHILD TO USE THE YELLOW CHECKLIST IN HIS/HER BINDER!

PLEASE SEND YOUR CHILD WITH A WATER BOTTLE!!! This helps a lot, so he/she does not have to leave the room when thirsty! Your child is also welcome to keep healthy snacks in our classroom to eat any time!
