Today was our first day in the science lab and it was a lot of fun!!! The kids can take you on their groups’ wikis to show you what they set up today in their terrariums! Students who had ipads, tablets, ipod touches, or iphones used them to take pictures and videos to post on their pages. These tools are welcome if your family can come to an agreement of how they will be used in class. Many of the kids want to bring in tools. I recommend creating a family contract if you allow your child to bring in one of these tools! Feel free to send me a copy of the contract so I can help enforce it!
In addition to visiting the science lab for our first Ecosystems lesson, we had time for our novel, math, Eng. Tech, Engage, and time for our current project with Mrs. Truesdell. It was a great day!!!
We have won the choice hour challenge!!! Your child is bringing home a movie permission slip to join us for the movie reward on the 27th!!!
We are in need of one more chaperone for Friday’s field trip! Please let me know if you can attend! We would appreciate your help!
Parents, please check your child's Blue Take Home Folder each day to check for mail, homework, and important information.
PLEASE INITIAL YOUR CHILD’S PLANNER EACH NIGHT SO I KNOW YOU ARE AWARE OF THE HOMEWORK AND EXCITING THINGS HAPPENING IN OUR CLASSROOM!
IT IS IMPORTANT FOR YOUR CHILD TO BRING SHARPENED PENCILS TO SCHOOL EACH DAY! PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR CHILD WITH A PERSONAL PENCIL SHARPENER TO KEEP IN HIS/HER BINDER!!!
It is so important that your child complete his/her reading homework each night! It is the number one way for your child to improve! Please have your child take some time to read out loud to you. They also love hearing you read and you are a great model for them!
*Don't forget to keep track of your minutes for Reading to the Superbowl!!!!!!!

Our Unit 5 test will be on Wednesday the 18th!

PLEASE ENCOURAGE YOUR CHILD TO USE THE YELLOW CHECKLIST IN HIS/HER BINDER!
